Wahhabism The term "wahhabism" is an outsider's designation for the religious reformist movement within Islam founded by Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab (1 703-1 792). This term is given to them by their opponents and is now used by both European scholars and most Arabs. Members of the movement describe themselves as muwwahhidun, the term is an Arabic word which means ‘Unitarians’. The movement calls for renewal of Muslim spirit, the return to the original sources of Islam, namely the Qur’aan and the authentic teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the refutation of all innovations in religion.

இன்னசன்ஸ் ஒப் முஸ்லிம்ஸ்' திரைப்படத்தை தயாரித்தவருக்கு ஒரு வருடம் சிறைத் தண்டனை வழங்கி அமெரிக்க நீதிமன்றமொன்று தீர்ப்பளித்துள்ளது.

அமெரிக்க நிறுவனமொன்றால் கடந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதம் தயாரித்து வெளியிட்ட 'இன்னசன்ஸ் ஒப் முஸ்லிம்ஸ்' என்ற திரைப்படத்தில், நபிகள் நாயகத்தை அவமதிக்கும் வகையிலான சர்ச்சைக்குரிய காட்சிகள் இடம்பெற்றிருந்தன.

இதனால் ஆத்திரமடைந்த இஸ்லாமியர்கள் தொடர் போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். இந்த போராட்டம் வன்முறையாக மாறியதால் பதட்டம் ஏற்பட்டது. லிபியாவில் உள்ள அமெரிக்க தூதரகத்தில் நடந்த ரொக்கெட் தாக்குதலில், அமெரிக்க தூதர் உள்ளிட்ட 4 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்.

இவ்வாறு உலகம் முழுவதும் கடும் கொந்தளிப்பு ஏற்பட காரணமாக இருந்த குறும்படத்தை தயாரித்த மார்க் பஸ்ஸல்லி யூசெப் (வயது 55) கைது செய்யப்பட்டார். அவர் மீது 8 வழக்குகள் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு லொஸ் ஏஞ்சல்ஸ் மாவட்ட நீதிமன்றத்தில் விசாரணை நடைபெற்றது.

கடந்த வாரம் நடந்த விசாரணையின்போது, தன் மீதான அனைத்து குற்றச்சாட்டுகளையும் யூசெப் மறுத்தார். ஆனால், 4 குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டதால், அவருக்கு ஒரு வருடம் சிறைத் தண்டனை விதித்து நீதிபதி தீர்ப்பளித்தார். மேலும் 5 ஆண்டுகள் வரை உரிய அனுமதி பெறாமல் கணனி மற்றும் இணையத்தை பயன்படுத்தக்கூடாது, கற்பனையான பெயர்களை பயன்படுத்தக்கூடாது என்றும் நீதிபதி உத்தரவிட்டார்.

ஏற்கனவே 5 வாரமாக அமெரிக்க மத்திய சிறைச்சாலையில் இருக்கும் அவர் ஓராண்டு தண்டனைக் காலத்தை சிறையில் கழிக்க வேண்டும். அதன்பின்னர் நிபந்தனையுடன் விடுதலை செய்யப்படுவார் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

மல்வத்து ஓயா பள்ளிவாசல் நிர்மாணப்பணிகளை ஆரம்பிப்பதற்கு அனுமதி மறுப்பு: முஸ்லிம் குடும்பங்களையும் இடம்மாற்றும் திட்டம்

ஹஜ்பெருநாள் தினத்தன்று அதிகாலை எரியூட்டப்பட்ட அநுராதபுரம் மல்வத்து ஓயா பள்ளிவாசல் நிர்மாணப்பணிகளை ஆரம்பிப்பதற்கு அநுராதபுரம் பிரதேச செயலகம் அனுமதி வழங்க மறுத்துள்ளது.

குறிபிட்ட பள்ளிவாசல் முஸ்லில் சமய கலாசார திணைக்களத்தில் பதிவு செய்யப்படவில்லை. பள்ளி வாசல் அமைந்திருக்கும் காணி உறுதி பள்ளி வாசலுக்கு சொந்தமானதில்லை போன்ற காரணங்களை சுட்டிக்காட்டி இவ் அனுமதி மறுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

பள்ளிவாசலுடன் தொடர்புடைய முஸ்லிம் குடும்பங்களும் ஏனைய இனத்தவரும் அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து இடமாற்றம் செய்ய திட்டமிடப்பட்டிருப்பதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

வழக்கறிஞரான இவரது தந்தை சிறந்த அறிஞராகத் திகழ்ந்தமையினால் அவரிடமே மௌலானா மௌதூதி(ரஹ்) அவர்கள் ஆரம்பத்தில் அரபு, பாரசீகம் போன்ற மொழிக்ளைக் கற்றுக் கொண்டார். அதன் பின்னர் பாகிஸ்தான் அறபுக் கல்லூரிகளில் இஸ்லாமியக் கொள்கைகளையும் சட்டங்களையும் மிகக் குறுகிய காலத்திலேயே கற்றுத் தேர்ந்தார்.

Imminent female Islamic scholar Maryam Jameelah who converted to Islam at the age of 27 has died here today after prolonged illness aging 78. Innalilllahi…..

The deceased was suffering from illness from the past several years because of her age for which she was also shifted to hospital at times.

Margaret Marcus converted to Maryam Jameelah was born to a Jewish family in New Rochelle, New York, on May 23, 1934. She was brought up in a secular environment, but at the age of nineteen, she developed a keen interest in religion.

On her way of finding the righteous Deen, she was greatly influenced by Marmaduke Pickthall’s ‘The Meaning of the Glorious Koran’ and by the works of Muhammad Asad who was himself converted Muslim from Judaism.

She embraced Islam in New York on May 24, 1961 and soon began began writing for the Muslim Digest of Durban, South Africa where she became familiar with the writings of Mawlana Sayyid Abu Ala Mawdudi, the founder of the Jamaati Islami, who was also a contributor to the journal.

On the advice of Mawdudi, Jameelah traveled to Pakistan in 1962 and joined his family in Lahore. She then got married to Muhammad Yusuf Khan, as his second wife.

இலங்கையின் தலைமை நீதிபதி மீது குற்றஞ்சாட்டி, அவரை பதவியில் இருந்து அகற்ற வழி செய்யும் தீர்மானம் ஒன்றை ஆளும்கட்சி நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் சபாநாயகரிடம் கையளித்துள்ளனர்.

நாட்டின் முதல் பெண் தலைமை நீதிபதிக்கு எதிராக எடுக்கப்படும் இந்த நடவடிக்கைக்கான காரணங்கள் என்ன என்பதை அரசு விளக்கவில்லை.
அதேநேரம் தலைமை நீதிபதி ஷிரானி பண்டாரநாயக்காவை பதவியில் இருந்து அகற்ற வழிசெய்யும் இந்த்த் தீர்மானத்தை ஆளும் கூட்டணியைச் சேர்ந்த மூன்று உறுப்பினர்கள் நாடாளுமன்ற சபாநாயகரிடம் கொடுத்துள்ளனர். இதில் 120 நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்கள் கையெழுத்திட்டுள்ளனர்.
