SB accepts the 4 main requests of Muslims for the training camp

The Supreme theological Body of Sri Lanka, All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), All University Muslim Students Association (AumsA) and some Muslim intellectuals directly met the higher education minister, Hon,S.B.Dissanayake last night at his residence at colombo, to make an end to this issue  related to Muslims in the training program for university students

On behalf of All Ceylon Jammmiyathul Ulama President As sheik Rizvi Mufthi, Mubarak Moulavi and Thasim Moulavi, and On behalf of AumsA-Sri Lanka General Secretary Br.Nizath with Br.Razath Ahamed( Steering Committee secretary) and Br.Ansaf (Educational Coordinator) with Lawyer Abdul Najeem and Mr.Hilmmy Sulaiman met the Higher education Minister SB at his residence and discussed regarding the issue of Training camp for university students.
They forwarded the following 4 main requests regarding Muslims to the Minister.
1) Dress code for Muslim Girls (Islamic dress)


2) Halal Food


3) Separate groups for girls (No gender mixing in the Physical exercise) and Female trainers to guide the girls


4) Allowing for prayers in time including Jumma (They will provide transport
for the boys to nearest mosque)


The delegation explained about the panic situation among the parents and students to the minister. The Minister agreed for the all above requests.

Also they suggested the minister to officially inform the parents and public about the matter in the media. As he agreed to it, we may expect this through media today.
